Biography

Leonard Jackson is a martial artist with over 48 years of dedicated experience. He holds a 7th Dan Black Belt (Master Rank) and has been honored with a Legend & Lifetime Achievement Award. His accomplishments also include induction into the World United Martial Arts Association (WUMA) Hall of Fame. In 2019, he created his own martial arts form, which he presented at the National Championship, earning 3rd place. Under his guidance, his students have achieved notable success, winning 2 Gold and 5 Silver medals at National and World Championships.

Leonard was invited to meet His Royal Highness Prince Charles—now King Charles III—to deliver a special martial arts demonstration.

In 2020, he founded Maroon Films Bristol Limited, a production company dedicated to martial arts and action storytelling. His screen work includes performances in more than 30 television dramas, along with two speaking roles in Casualty—portraying an HR manager and a martial arts master in “Abhi Tries Kung Fu.”

His journey was further captured in Maroon Fist, a short documentary exploring his life and legacy as a Kung Fu Master in Bristol. The film has earned multiple awards at international festivals, including recognition from the Los Angeles Film and Documentary Awards.
